Rayman offers them food, but they ignore him and their commander Sergueï kidnaps Rayman and throws him in an arena full of raving mad Rabbids, several with weapons. Suddenly the kids sink into the ground and the Rabbids appear. Rayman is having a picnic with the local Globox kids, when suddenly there is an earthquake. Gangsta, Raymaninho, Disco, Gothic, Caramba, Rock'n'Roll, Granny, DeeJay and Bunny. Rayman has a few costumes, each with a matching song. In Score Mode, a player can repeat past trials in an attempt to improve their score or as a multiplayer party game. The team began work on a traditional action adventure platformer. The title started full development shortly after King Kong went gold. The studio head Michel Ancel sketched an initial concept for a rabbit character, and from there, the idea of a mass invasion of bunnies grew. Work on the game began during the later stages of making King Kong, when the developers were looking to create the "ultimate enemy" for use in the next Rayman game. The game was brainstormed while the studio worked on the King Kong video game. Sparks of Hope is a follow-up to the original Mario + Rabbids and has Mario re-teaming up with Rabbid variants of his friends to travel the cosmos to save Rabbid Lumas, called Sparks in the game, from the enigmatic Cursa.The game's development was led by Michel Ancel, the original creator of Rayman, at Ubisoft's Montpellier studio. The expansion will have Rayman team up with Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario for a new adventure. Rayman was previously announced as coming to Sparks of Hope as DLC, and the roadmap confirms Rayman’s arrival to the game will be the last expansion for the Season 1 pass. The un-named second DLC expansion will launch sometime in mid-2023. The new planet seems jungle themed, and a Bob-omb is in the promo image for the DLC expansion. The new character has no name yet is described as a mysterious new foe and appears to be a female Rabbid in a skirt. The second expansion of the DLC has no name, but it will include a brand-new character and takes place in a new world. Mario will face a new challenge on each floor of the tower. Tower of Doom revolves around Mario and the Rabbids traveling up a tower run by Madame Bwahstrella. It will be the first thing from the Season 1 pass to launch and has a release window of early 2023. The Tower of Doom is a new mode for Sparks of Hope. The Season 1 pass is available on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99 and includes The Tower of Doom combat mode, a new character and planet, and the inclusion of Rayman. Season 1 for the DLC will roll out throughout all of 2023, ending with the inclusion of Rayman at the end of next year. Ubisoft and Nintendo have revealed the road map for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s DLC expansions.
